Research projects
Our researchers continue to be involved in a wide range of research and development projects. They design, develop and manage innovative national and international projects with a socio-political focus. Here you will find information on our third-party funded projects, listed in chronological order.
Dissertations
Supporting early-career researchers in Translation Studies is one of our key priorities. Are you considering writing a dissertation? Find out here about current and completed dissertation projects at the ITAT, the graduate conferences organized by our doctoral candidates, our annual doctoral forums and our dedicated reading group.

Habilitations
A Habilitation is the highest academic qualification in Austria. It is a milestone in an academic career, symbolising the ability to work independently in teaching and research in a subject. The prerequisite for a habilitation is proof of outstanding academic and didactic qualifications. If you would like to know more about who has completed a Habilitation at our department and what the topic of their research project was, then you have come to the right place.
Publications
In addition to individual publications – monographs, anthologies and book and journal articles – we also publish journals and participate on the boards of academic journals and book series. Access publications by ITAT researchers via the research portal.

Working groups
Allow us to introduce you to our working groups here at the ITAT. Members of these working groups have formed invaluable networks which allow us to collaborate both internally and with colleagues from other disciplines, integrate research with teaching, and enhance the visibility of our work beyond the university.
