Bienvenue au département français! The aim of our team is to combine translation theory and translation practice, to familiarize students with a wide range of text and discourse types in diverse, often intercultural settings and to invite them on a journey of discovery through the French language and culture area with its 321 million francophones. Together, we look and listen carefully to analyze verbal and non-verbal content.
Students will understand and make sense of oral and written communication in all its facets using human intelligence and modern tools. Our courses train autonomous, dynamic and critically thinking language professionals who, thanks to their hard and soft skills, form a competent, empathetic interface in a complex international arena.
