Larisa Schippel

Larisa Schippel is professor of Transcultural Communication at the Center for Translation Studies at the University of Vienna, Austria. Her research focuses on transcultural translation history and the history of translation studies (especially Western and Eastern Europe), translation at during National Socialism, multilingualism and transculturality, discourses and power. She is co-editor of the series Transkulturalität. Translation. Transfer (Transculturality. Translation. Transfer) and Forum Romania as well as translator of several monographs on a variety of topics in the humanities (working languages: Russian, Romanian, French).
